Tai Chi is an internal martial arts form famous for its health benefits, many people practice just for the healing side, as the harmony and calmness promote balance of body and mind. We all need time to "switch off" and relax.Tai Chi does this as the practicioner goes through the movements or concentrates on the breathing techniques during the Chi Gong (breathing exercises). It is sometimes also refered to as 'moving meditation' because whilst performing the movement you are also aware of the breathing aspects and the movement at the same time. One of the systems taught in our school is dao yin here is a link to documents and information on this amazing chi gong - http://dyysg.co.uk/docs.php A good german website with a lot of useful information and videos on - http://taiji.de/taiji/head4e/index.htm Barry Phelan helped with the latest news on the Telegraph website please read - http://www.telegraph.co.uk
